Meet the Author

Rene Webb, a former Catholic schoolgirl and 80’s child, is a recovering Soap Opera addict who grew up watching General Hospital. She became weary with the relentless drama and sought out stories with happy endings, which lasted. Now, Rene is an erotic romance author, where there is always a happily-ever-after!

Growing up in New England, Rene spent her childhood playing make-believe, acting out stories with her Barbies, Legos, My Little Ponies and Playmobile. She has since taken to writing down the dramas that invade her mind.

Authors such as Jane Austen, Kristen Ashley, Sylvia Day and Bianca Giovanni have inspired her. They all create strong female characters, swoon worthy men and stories that leave you with the hope, that you too will find your own HEA!

She also enjoys reading, baking, seeing movies, going to museums and spending time with her friends and family.

Rene lives in Washington DC, with the cactus she’s desperately trying not to kill.

a.k.a. Kitty Bennet on the book blog Lit. 4 Ladies, which she runs with her sister.

excerpt

“Tonight?” he whispers, removing his hand from where it had found its way on my backside, holding me against his growing hardness.
“Yes,” I agree breathlessly, grabbing his hips and pulling him into me, not being able to get close enough to him. Though there is only so much you can do on a cold street corner in the snow.
As we pull away, Tom grabs ahold of my hand and picks up my shopping bags. We begin walking again towards the inn, which in the anticipation of what is to come, seems to be miles and miles away.
Walking in silence, we are both lost in our own thoughts. Mine are warring between the excitement at the prospect of experiencing the white Christmas I so desired, and of having the man who’s created a fire in me that I’ve never felt before.
Everything about him calls to me.
Still holding hands, we pass by the sleepy night clerk and make our way towards the stairs. Climbing up the stairs, upon reaching the first landing, Tom moves me towards the wall, boxing me in with his body.
“Are we going to do this?” he asks hotly in my ear. Dropping my bags with a thud, he slowly runs his hands along my side, creating a need within me that never wants him to stop.
Yes,” I whisper, realizing my hands haven’t been idle. They’ve started moving up his muscular arms, unconsciously pulling him closer.
In a sudden display of authority, Tom grabs my wrists and pins them to the wall above my head, making me gasp as a thrill of excitement shoots through me.
Leaning down, he touches my mouth gently with his own before running his tongue along the seam of my lips, asking me to open up to him. He doesn’t need to give me any encouragement. Parting my lips, our tongues dance and tease each other until we are both breathless and wanting more.
“Your room or mine?” he asks with hooded eyes as he pushes his own excitement into my stomach.
“Mine,” I say, releasing myself from Tom’s hold and sliding along the wall away from him. Grabbing his hand with one of mine and the bags with another, I begin pulling him up the remaining stairs.
