#BabyLove:  My Social Life is a book based on a baby’s life in today’s digital world and in my opinion the author NAILED IT.  As a society we are using social media and basically putting everything ‘out there’ for the world to see.  Not a day goes by where we don’t see a parent with a cell phone taking pictures of their kids and instantly uploading to Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.  Sometimes though is does get to be a bit too much and after a while, you have a feeling that those kids are simply fed up with the whole situation.

This story is told from the point of view of the baby as he describes his day in front of a camera from the moment he wakes to the moment he falls asleep.  Videos are captured when he rolls over for the first time and pictures snapped as he is eating or playing.  I love the use of hash tags and the number of ‘likes’ under each picture and thought it added just the right touch of truth to it all.

#BabyLove:  My Social Life is probably the cutest and most clever books I have read.  As a new grandparent in the social media age, I can totally relate to this book.  Lord knows whenever my grandson is in my sight, I am constantly taking pictures of him and in the rare case he actually stays still, those pictures end up on Facebook and Instagram.

This book is just perfect for moms and their kids as it is just the right length for a quick read.  The delightful illustrations are bright and cheery and the story is amusing and fun to read. If you have a baby or young child and you are one of THOSE parents (or grandparents) who simply love to show off your adorable child on your social media sites, then this book is for you.
