About The Book
book cover

Educator, counselor & poet, Sally Naylor celebrates the release of her second book Rogue Nirvana -- Beyond Woo-Woo: Create the Life You Love. If you’ve ever wondered if this is all there is or wondered what’s missing in your life’s journey, this book offers a comedic yet laser-focused excursion into how societal norms, self-help, & new age spirituality do not often offer you relief. After battles with chronic fatigue, cancer, & widowhood, Naylor sought, synthesized & now shares in this field guide, her belief that you too can construct your own personal Nirvana.

About the Author
sally naylor1

Sally Naylor, daughter of a highly decorated WWII combat veteran, FBI agent, and lawyer, and a sweet, stay-at-home, southern belle mother, roamed the world, growing up as an “Air Force Brat.” This gypsy was raised with and confused by both the sword and the cross. A series of crises motivated her to engage in this rogue romp to Nirvana as she sorted through the impossible expectations of her middle class upbringing.
And yes, she did attain her own Nirvana but in an unexpected & bizarre manner
Before setting aside societal conditioning, this renegade, scamp and unrepentant rascal thrived as an upper school English teacher and curriculum developer.  Naylor’s students have had their work featured in many publications and have won numerous writing awards. In addition to teaching creative writing and blogging, she served as an in-school counselor where she initiated student peer-to-peer counseling, mediation and AIDS Ed programs.

She also engages in life coaching, interviews, speaking and facilitating workshops. Her first book of poetry, Firebird, a story of regeneration and cancer recovery, published in January 2012 is also available on Amazon. Her next book is titled The Estrogen Project. Also in the works are Rogue’s Release: Relief in 30 Minutes a Week, a creative writing text, and two poetry books: Heresies & Sweet Basil and Exit Stage Left.

Review ~ £6.19 per Witching Hour by Joanna Mazurkiewicz

£6.19 per Witching Hour

                               (Paranormal Personnel Saga #1)

                                    by Joanna Mazurkiewicz

Synopsis from Goodreads:
Julia Taylor works as a recruitment consultant for Paranormal Personnel in London. Her normal day at the office consists of seeing clients, searching for new vacancies, updating CVs and visiting employers.

It seems as though she has an ordinary life but in reality Julia is half elf and she works for a recruitment agency for paranormals.

She is normally calm, confident and is not afraid to stand up for herself, but when the meeting with La Caz Corporation doesn’t go as well as she hoped, she wants to bury herself under the ground and die.

Nathaniel La Caz is a player and he wants to seduce Julia. The incredible sexual chemistry that builds up between them complicates her life to the point where she can’t control her magic. La Caz not only wants her but he also has a craving for her blood. Then her ex-boyfriend Jasper comes back on the scene and nearly exposes the whole paranormal world to humans when trying to protect her.

It doesn't end well when vampires and elves mix. The problems start escalating when Julia witnesses the kidnapping of her cousin Claudia on the busy street. From then on things only go from bad to worst. More elves and fairies begin to vanish in London without trace and the police suspect vampires. Julia is determined to find Claudia even if it means she will get herself into more trouble.

*Adult Paranormal Romance novel - contains adult situations, graphic sexuality, violence, suited for ages 18 and up*

My Review:
3 out of 5 stars
Set in London, England, Julia Taylor is employed by a paranormal recruitment agency, Paranormal Personnel.  Every day is pretty routine until Nathaniel La Caz enters through the door of the agency.  Needing help recruiting workers for his business, he is instantly attracted to Julia and will not stop until he gets what he wants.  Nathaniel is everything a women wants....he's rich and oh so sexy! When several fairies and elves including Julia’s cousin, Claudia, vanish without a trace, Julia's boring life gets a little more exciting.

This was a very intriguing story that was totally different than anything I have read before.  Elves, fairies, giants, vampires, wizards, mermaids, witches, trolls and werewolves, oh my!  This book about covers them all!  But even with such magical creatures, this one is for mature audiences only due to language and some very naughty scenes.

The story is packed full of mystery and suspense with some hot steamy sex thrown in to spice things up. The plot was interesting and very intriguing.  The premise of the story really is good, and the characters are awesome.   There were some noticeable grammar and punctuation errors, and at times misuse of some words, however; they really did not take away from the story.  I believe that once the editing issues corrected, this book will definitely be a 5 star winner.
