Review ~ Vampire Most Wanted by Lynsay Sands

Vampire Most Wanted
by Lynsay Sands

My rating 4 out of 5 stars

Basha Argeneau was just eleven years old when Leonius captured her and brutally raped and abused her.  Escaping with her son Damien, she has been on the run for over two thousand years.  Working in numerous carnival circuits, she is now better known as Madame Divine, Fortune Teller.

Lucian Argeneau has been looking for his niece for a very long time.  Through the grapevine, he believes that Basha has gone rogue, so he enlists the help of Marcus Notte to find her and bring her back for questioning.  With only a sketch drawn from memory of what Basha may look like, Marcus sets off determined to find her.

Marcus eventually finds Divine at a carnival and although he knows she is a vampire, he can't read her and with little to go on as far as pictures, he thinks that she might be Basha. Of course Basha/Divine can't read Marcus either, so if you had read the previous books in the series, you can guess at this point that they are Lifemates.  But Marcus wonders if they can even have a relationship if Basha has in fact gone rogue?

Vampire Most Wanted is a little bit different from the other books in the Argeneau series.  This one was more action-packed and darker with very little humor that I have come to expect with the series.  It was not bad in the least bit, just different.  Although there is some steamy 'Lifemate' sex, I don't think it was as exciting as it could have been. The ending left off leaving me feeling a little incomplete.  I am hoping that this story is continued or at least tied into the next book.

Lynsay Sands is an awesome storyteller and I absolutely love the Argeneau Vampire Series.  It amazes me that after 20 books, each one is still as incredibly awesome as the last.

Blurb~For Basha Argeneau, anything is better than facing her estranged family. Even hiding out in sweltering southern California. But when a sexy immortal in black shows up determined to bring her back to the clan, she'll do anything to keep far, far away from the past she can't outrun.

Marcus Notte isn't here to play games—especially not with someone as crazy as the infamous blonde. Asked by Lucian Argeneau to bring her back for questioning, Marcus is determined to carry out Lucian's request—no matter how the seductive little mind-reading vamp feels about it.

Basha doesn't mind fighting fire with fire, especially with a hot immortal involved. But if he wants to take her away, he'll have to catch her first . . .
